Monday March 16th

Monday March 16th 

Good Morning to all,
Wishing you well. Lets start with a Love You Ritual. We did this for one of our Mommy and Me sessions. Ask your child to help you with steps. 


Margie Pargie pudding and pie
Gave his/her mom a big high five
With his/her mom they loved to play
A gift of hand shake they gave each day.


 1:
Math:  (20 minutes)
How many spoons and forks in the kitchen?
Beginning:  Today for a small group, we will head to the kitchen for a counting activity.
Middle: Count the number of spoons in the drawer. Count the number of forks in the drawer.
Compare the two numbers, which is more, which is less. Discuss.
·   Make a T chart with your child, draw a spoon and a fork on the top of the T chart. 











·   Encourage your child to tally mark or write the numbers (quantities).
·   I wonder which one is more.

·   How many more, how many less.

End: Give your child a 5 minutes notice to end the activity.




Science: (5 minutes)
Guess the smell!  Right before lunch, ask your child what they can smell.  Predict what is for lunch.


Fine motor skills: (10 minutes)
Help in the kitchen pouring water from the jug into cups. 
Beginning: fill the jug with water. Ask your child what they think they can do with the empty cups?
Middle: Use words such as, pour, same, less, more, equal, empty, full.
Imitate your child, describe what they are doing.  

End: Give the child 5 minutes warning. Allow your child to help in cleaning. 




Dance and movement (5 minutes)
